My serpentine belt broke the day after it was installed and then I noticed I was losing antifreeze. Could this be the water pump?

Hello,

It could be the Pump, but it could also just be a hose.

Can you tell about were the leak is?

Also since the belt is off I would recommend checking the pulleys the belt goes around. If it was a new belt and it broke the next day, then it is possible that a pulley has locked up and burnt the belt. There should only be one pulley you won't be able to turn by hand, it is the very bottom one. All the rest should spin easily.
