2000 Ford Taurus engine smell when heater motor is on

Heater problem
2000 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 145k miles

I get the smell of hot engine oil(not exhaust)when i turn on heater motor.This only happens when i am stopped not when i'm driving.When i'm driving not even a hint of odor.If i'm stopped and i turn off the motor i get no odor either,any ideas?
