1999 Ford Taurus low coolant light is on

the coolant level is good and the engine runs cool,l however the dash low coolant light is on. is there a way to reset or shut off the light or must the sensor be replaced? and where is the sensor located?

Hi there,
As this is a critical warning indicator you should not disconnect it, replace the sensor as i feel it will be faulty, i will check the location for you and advise ASAP.

The sensor is on the coolant reservoir (green box). It is not on the photo, but locate a 2-wire harness on the bottle. The sensor is attached to it.
