Recently I noticed that I wasn't getting much heat. Upon doing some research, I have discovered that the heater core on these cars plug frequently. While troubleshooting to see if flow was going into the heater core, I noticed the air conditioner was actually running. I pulled the fuse that runs the A/C clutch and flushed the heater core. My first question is does the A/C run during heater use and secondly would this be a bad switch?

It will run with the defroster. Are you sure it runs on heat?

It seems to run when only the heat is on, not only with defroster on.

It has to be tied into the AC switch if it runs all the time. Check to see if it is working properly.
