THE RADIO STOP WORKING THE RADIO TURNS ON
NORMALLY BUT NO SOUND. MY BROTHER HAD THE
SAME CAR TWO YEARS AGO WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THE VOLUME CONTROL WORKS YOU SEE THE VOLUME METER GO UP AND DOWN BUT NO SOUND. TURNS ON AND OFF BUT NO SOUND.

Hi:
It sounds like there is an internal short which may have caused the amp to short. You can remove the stereo and try it on seperate speakers, but chances are it won't work.

If you remove it, take it to a local stereo shop and have them check its output. If there isn't any, compare the cost to replace or repair.
