Please let me know how to set back the timing of the engine after doing an engine job. Thank You.

Need to know what engine you have.

Ignition timing is controlled by the computer according to crank and cam position sensors. As long as the sensors are installed correctly, timing will be correct. Valve timing is another thing. With the DuraTec engine, you need to line up several timing marks on the drive sprockets. With the Vulcan engine, you only need to line up the two marks on the timing chain sprockets.
