1998 Ford Taurus number 2 coil

My car is not getting fire from the number 2 coil package. What could be the problem?

Have you checked the coil? Is it getting power to it?

My husband says that the other 5 are getting fire like they are supposed to, but the number 2 is barely getting fire to it at all. Right now we really don't have the almost 100 to buy a new coil, unless the coil is 100% the problem.
I hope this makes sense.

I understand completely. However, call a local nationally recognized parts store and ask if they have the tools to check it. Many will check it for you.
