I have been having trouble starting my car for about 2 weeks. The engine will crank, but will not turn over. A few times when I have added a gallon or so of gas I will get the car to start. But then the next day the same issue appears. I am guessing it could be the fuel pump or fuel filter. It has been very frusterating and unfourtunately I'm not very car savy. I would really appreciate the help. Thanks so much.

Check for spark at the plugs, if no spark, check the connection at the crank position sensor on the front of the engine at the bottom(crank) pulley, I had a 9 that kept wiggling the connector just loose enough to cause problems. Of course it could also be the fuel pump, here;s how to check both. Start with the basics, and work your way up, Last tune up was? Wires plugs ALL filters? If all that is ok, check for a stuck EGR, then test fuel pump pressure, If it won't restart, determine what's missing, the engine needs three things to run, Spark at all plugs, gas to all cylinders, and compression in all cylinders, tho an engine may run lacking one in one cylinder, it won't run very well!
