1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic 66000 miles

Hello,
I have a Ford Taurus GL 1996 car. I recently bought a GPS and I really want to have a power outlet (cigarette lighter outlet) in my car. How can I install it? Can you please guide me? or can I take it somewhere? like brakemaster, PepBoys, etc.? I'm in southern CA.
