Electrical problem
1996 Ford Taurus 6 cyl. Front Wheel Drive Automatic 87500 miles

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus with the 3 litre overhead valve engine. (12 Valve). I have no spark at number 2 cylinder. I've change plug and wires..checked gap and still no spark. The coil pack was checked by a local shop and is within specs. I put a new coil in and the car ran fine for a few days then went back to miss firing. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check no.2 compression and injector

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it

Rasmataz....Thanks for your response. Injector is fine..clicking away as it should, compression was checked a short time ago, well within specs. I put a lead and plug on the coil pack...no joy from #2 but spark at all other connections. ugh...driving me nuts.
