Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160K miles

hello- thanks, i've been reading all day looking for answers.I have 94 taurus and it starts alright, but when it is warmed up, it develops a habit of surging,or revving up with no help.I'll do a stop at a gas station to gas up, and when i restart it, it revves up dramatically.
Thanks,
Darrin

This sounds like a problem with the ISC motor or throttle body. The ISC motor is located on the intake manifold near the throttle plate, and controls idle speed by bypassing air around the throttle plate. This could be sticking. I also repaired a similar problem on a '93 by replacing the throttle body.
