Ok, for a couple of weeks I would start my car in park and was unable to put it into gear. So I would have to shut it off, put it into nuetral, start it and would be fine to put it into gear after that. If I put it into park while running I would have to shut it of, put it in nuetral and start it again to be able to put into gear to drive. The other day I drove to the store and when I came out it wouldnt start and still wont. Have plenty off battery power but it wont even make a peep like it wants to start. Help!!!:O) Thanks!!

Not able to shift out of park
Check fuses and brake light switch and its wiring

No start tries to start in P if unable to start in N but will start in P suspect shift link need adjustment or defective N/S switch
If no start in P or N check battery terminals
Check starter wiring and suspect bad starter

Always check fuses and relays 1st

I have a '94 and had that shifting problem too, until one day a cop stopped me and told me i had no lights at all in the back, stop, turn sig, you name it and my cruise control was acting funny too. The problem turned out to be a connector came loose that is connected to the steering column and that seemed to be a critical connector that controlled all that stuff.
