Two spark plugs not fireing

1994 Ford Ranger 2.3lt 4cyl engine. 137000 miles. The plugs, coil and wires have been replace but two of the plugs still will not fire. This ford truck has two coils and 8 spark plugs total. The number 1 and 4 on the right side of the engine will not fire.

Can you verify that you are getting spark up to the spark plug? If you can, then you can rule out problems in your new ignition system, and concentrate on bad plugs.

What are the indications that you are not getting spark to cyls 1 and 4?
