Ranger just stalled and died - gas puddle below

96 Ranger 3.0 V6 225K miles - driving in traffic - suddenly lost power as if running out of gas - had half tank - after moving off road and getting out, smelled gas, saw large puddle of gas under truck - fuel pump? Fuel line? This has never happened before in 10 yrs.

First thing to do would be to look under the vehicle around area of the puddle for a leak, possibly broken fuel line.

Where on the engine does the fuel line enter - got confirmation that the line has probably split or has come out on either end.

Fuel injected? Check aroun fuel injectors and trace back from there
