I have a 1994 ford ranger with 138,000 miles on it. The problem I have is when you come to a stop and take it out of gear and you take your foot off the clutch and then push the clutch back in it does not want to go in gear easily. Other than this it changes easily. I have the 5 speed 4 cylinder engine. I've owned the truck about 9 yrs. Any idea what could be causing the problem???
thanks

The hydraulic system is not holding properly could be the salve or clutch master cylinder.
These transmissions are not synchronized for first gear try sliding the shifter up into first just as you are about to stop rather than stopping then trying to place in first.
