I have a 1990 ford ranger 4.0 liter engine. It will leak gasoline every so often from the engine area. It does not do this all the time. I just replaced 2 fuel injectors and all was fine for about one week. Then it started leaking a good amount of gas from the engine again. Any ideas what this could be. It has not leaked since then and that was a week ago? Could it be the fuel regulator or the other injectors? When it leaks there is a lot of fuel coming out and onto the ground under the engine. I have not been able to get it to do this again, any ideas?

No codes. My only concern is the next time it could cause a fire. As of right now the only answer seems to be replace the fuel regulator on the fuel arm and keep your fingers crossed. Do you have any other ideas?

It could be the schrader valve on the fuel rail that was leaking on mine I replaced it and no more leak.
