Hi folks, I own a 2002 ford ranger 3.0 v6 fuel flex 4x2 pickup, and I purchased a replacement fuel filter. Before I start, I want to know if 1. I need to release any fuel pressure before beginning the replacement. 2. If you folks offer perhaps a step by step photo instruction. Thank you in advance fellas.

ITs a good idea to release the pressure so you don't wear as much fuel. The release is a valve in the fuel rail that looks like a tire valve.

The filter needs a tool that is made for releasing the filter from the lines. You should be able to buy this from the same place that sold the filter.
