There is a whinning sound coming from the T/M. It started out a soft sound but after a few days it got louder. Then while driving the T/M just stops pulling. I can let it set for about 5mins or so then it will inguage and go a couple of miles and do it again. The T/M has been rebuilt about 60,000 or so miles ago could it be the torqueconverter slipping or the pump going bad. Also the O/D light started flashing on one occasion.

My first thought is, the filter in the trans is plugged. 2nd, would be the converter is going bad. You can tell a lot about what's going on inside a tranny by what's laying in the pan. I would pull it and check the filter. In the pan you're looking for black specs, brass shavings or what looks luke mud. the "mud" is ground up aluminum.
