I have a 02 Ranger 4x4 have a really bad noise (like a rattle or vibration) coming from the front passenger side under the hood. I lifted the hood and cannot pin point the location of the noise I have changed the Belt tensior pulley and alt. (Anything in the general area of that noise. Still there is get worse when it is in park in Idle. Then when in gear still does it but not as loud at least doesnt seem as loud.

The oil pressure should be checked to make sure that the noises are not valve train related.
10 PSI of oil pressure for every 1,000 RPM of engine speed.
What is the weather where you're leaving and what kind of oil your using?
