I just noticed a grinding/rattling noise in the engine or transmission. This only happens when Im going up hillls and press on the accelerator raising the RPMs. Any other time things sound normal.

Try this. Take a rubber mallet and tap on the exhaust system. See if you can duplicate the sound. Chances are the noise is coming from a loose heat shield or the inside of the catalytic converter has come apart and you are hearing that. If it is internal in the converter, replace it.
