During long mountain highway drives my truck feels like its about to stall. Usually when i come to a stop and start going again It feels like its going to stall out but never actually does. This happens for about 5-10 seconds or so then it starts to run fine. The odd time it happens while driving at around 60-70 mph. This again happens for 5-10 seconds then it just goes away. I was wondering what this may be from? and will it be an expensive fix if it actually does stall. Thanks.

You may want to have it checked for codes. Even if the light is not on, it may have codes stored in it. It SOUNDS like you may have a mass air flow sensor messing up. During the highway driving of higher speeds, the MAF has a chance to increase readings based on the time needed for acceleration. However, with a manual trans, when you push the clutch in and the RPM's drop fast, the MAF may be sluggish enough to not return the proper readings to the computer so that it can compensate fuel/air ratio. Check for codes and clean the MAF sensor, then post back and we'll go from there.
