Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1998 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

The 4 wheel drive will not go in.t works in High range but will not go in low range

If the transfer case will shift into 4wd high, then the unit and front axle are working. If it doesn't go into low loc, then either the actuator on the transfer case or the switch / wiring is bad. Unplug the wiring harness to the actuator and make sure it is clean and not corroded. Also, have a helper switch to 4 lo whille you check for power to the harness. If you are getting power, then the actuator is the problem.
