My ranger has run great, until a year and a half ago. One day I went out to start it and it turned over, turned over, turned over (kind of like it flooded) and wouldn't fire. It wouldn't start for several days of trying...I towed it to the dealer and it started right up for them, they checked it out and found nothing. This scenario has happened without warning every few months. Now after 3 times to the dealer and it always starting and nothing showing up on their scopes, I just wait a few days and it runs fine for months. I can't trust it however. All routine maintenance is current and I have taken good care of it, I'm the only owner. I had the dealer replace hoses, plugs, fuel filter, etc everything I could think of and they could but now it still happens. HELP! Could it be the fuel pump??? I have read somewhat similar symptoms but not quite mine. I would GREATLY appreciate some advice. I love this truck and this is the only thing wrong with it. Please email me if you can at slavoie@warnerpacific.edu. Thank you!
