1996 Ford Ranger speed sensor
Electrical problem
1996 Ford Ranger Four Wheel Drive Automatic
my 1996 ford rangers Speedometer will not word. I replaced the sensor on the rear axle. and still did not work. Is there also one on the transmission. it is electronic but not digital. if not what should i try next? I also took out the instrument cluster to replace the check engine light. it stays on all the time and the code said it was the speed sensor. Thanks for any help you can give me

What is the code number so i can get you the trouble tree for you.Also what size engine do you have?

There is the trouble tree the speed sensor is located on the left rear of the transfer case since you have a 4 wheel drive.
