Engine problem
1995 Ford Ranger Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Manual 150000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Today when I went to start my 1995 Ranger it wouldn't start. It doesn't even turn over it just clicks once and then doesn't do anything. I tested my battery and that is fine, all the lights, radio, etc works just fine. Any ideas on how to get this going? I think I am going to have to call someone to come out and fix/tow it, who would I ave to call?

check for loose and corroded fittings on the battery, starter and the relay.

First while having someone try to crank it, and you tap on the starter while this is happening, if it turns your problem is a frozen starter or one with a loose wire in it and it should be replaced.

if that doesnt fix it then chances are your battery is weak or the starter relay is bad.

The first thing you need to do is see if the anti-theft light is flashing and if it is put the key in drivers door lock and lock the door wait 15 seconds and make sure the light stops flashing and then unlock the door and it will start!!!!!!!
