Hi. I have a 1994 ford ranger and I noticed that the steering wheel squeaks whenever you turn it, and you only have to turn it very little for it to squeak. It squeaks no matter if the car is on or off. Thats why I am 99% sure that it is on the inside of the truck. It only squeaks when it is warm inside the car though, not when its cold. We pulled the steering wheel to see if maybe there was any rubbing, but we didn't see any. So we think that it is farther down the steering column somewhere inside. It sounds like to rubbers rubbing together. Please tell me what you think it is. This noise is very annoying and needs to be fixed ASAP. Thanks.

it could be squeaking at the tie rods

also turn the truck on and have some one turn the wheel while you listen direct your attention to power steering box it could need fluid fuild might need to be replaced

then turn the truck off if it still squeaks could be something in suspesion like tie rods or ball joints
