Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

engine sputters and backfires until it gets warm even then still lacks power sometimes. I have replaced fuel filter, pcv valve, egr valve, plugs and wires, tried injecter cleaners/lubricant, I want to know if I should use the high dollar plugs (uradiums).

platnum plugs will work fine in your truck. you don't need the high dollar spark plugs unles syou are a racer and want better spark or sometimes in high performance applications. Check your engine for a vacuum leak, put a vacuum gage on it and if it's around 15" or so then check for a plugged converter. Also clean your throttle plate with choke cleaner as they get gummed up alot. It will make your truck idle much better when you get it straightened out. Also have your vehicle scanned to see if there are any engine codes as you may have soemthing that has failed..
