Transmission problem
1991 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual alot miles

truck has done me right for a few years, was coming home from work the other day and noticed my temp. guage acting a little irregularly, was jumping from cold to about the middle,so when got home checked the water/antifreeze was very low but truck was'nt hot no bubbling or anything so flushed it all out filled ran reflushed a few times with just water was alot of clumps of soft rust, but finally got it running clear refilled with premixed 50/50 advance brand antifreeze/coolant,but today for some strange reason when was in first gear with clutch pedal to the floor truck started moving hehe!!was like wth,so put it in neutral the light turned green and took some effort to put it back in gear same thing later kinda hard to engage low gears any help would be great thanks in advance

Underhood, there is a small resevoir which holds your clutch fluid(if equipped) if low-add if empty-fill and bleed. If not the problem, try adjusting you clutch pedal free-play, be cautious and chock the front wheels before testing.

get under & look but you likely have the slave like a donut around trans input, if it's just a warped/broken pressure plate, replace slave while you're in there, if fluid's drippin' from bell hsng...replace friction disc, pressure plate, throw out, & pilot while your in there. If your master's all that's failed(you can look for movement at slave while someone pushes pedal - it's no fun - need to remove from vehicle - new master comes with line to slave pre-installed and pre-bled in a really big box.
