1991 Ford Ranger Gas gauge always on E

A frined and I JUST replaced the thingy mabober thats inside the gas tank. with the 2 hoses and the electric wires and the hose where you put fuel in, it was shinny and had a bag on the bottom... ok im sure you know what im talking about now. He was positive thats what would make the fuel gauge woking again. he said theres probably an air bubble but im not too sure thats the case! please tell me how to get the gas gauge work. it hasnt worked sence he owned the turck back in august!

Hi there you have changed the fuel pump, this dose not operate the fuel gauge. The sender unit or the gauge is at fault. to test the gauge you will have to locate and earth out the sender wire, if the gauge deflects, the sender is faulty.
