This truck, despite it's very high mileage ran great until Christmas day where upon driving to London the engine began to labor when ever I tried to speed up to pass or climb a hill. It was then I noticed the the heat gauge was almost at the bottom when it usually was very high in the average area. So I changed the thermostat and still the same problem. Also now the engine is very hard to start as it seems to be not getting enough fuel and it idles very rough. Even with the rad completely covered the engine is not getting up to the desired temp. Also on Christmas day when I pulled into my son's place the truck smelled as though it had a very bad fuel leak.
I am at a loss as to what could be causing the lack of heat and the poor idle. Any idias
