My truck occassionally won't turn start unless I turn the ignition 3-5 times. I don't hear any clicking noise like a solenoid or any grinding of the starter. Could it be my ignition or what?

It could be a relay, solenoid, starter... What I need you to do is this. When this happens, have a helper turn the key to the start position. CHeck the smaller wire on the starter to see if you get power when they turn the key. You should be getting 12+ volts. LEt me know what you find.
