1989 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

To replace timing belt Haynes describes using tool to replace sensor but is vague on how. How do I remove and replace timing sensor on this 2.3 engine.

Hi MickeyAdams,

Thank you for the donation.

Removal and installation of the sensor is as normal, no special tools required. The only special tool required is for aligning the sensor prior to tightening. The red shaded area is how the special tool should be placed before tightening the sensor.
