Should fuel/gas flow through and out of the vacuum end of the fuel regulator?

Should fuel/gas flow through and out of the vacuum end of the fuel regulator? If it flows through mine do I need to replace?

No the fuel pressure regulator is bad and needs to be replaced here are the introductions in the images below to show you how. Check out the images (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Fuel should not flow threw the regulator and out the vaccume. If it does the regulator is ruptured, and must be replaced. That was the answer I obtained by refourmating thr question. Thank You much for your response "spair tire"

How do I replace a Fuel Pressure Regulator on my 1987 Ford Ranger. I got two screws out but I cant get the one at the tip of it.

You have to get all the screws out first. Then it just comes out.

1. Remove vacuum line at pressure regulator, then the regulator housing attaching screws.
2. Remove pressure regulator assembly, gasket and O-ring.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate fuel pressure regulator O-ring with suitable oil before installation.
B. Torque regulator housing attaching screws to 27 - 40 inch lbs. On 4-140, V6-183, 6-300 and V8-302 engines, or 71 - 102 inch lbs. On V6-177 engine.
