Engine Performance problem
1988 Ford Ranger Two Wheel Drive Manual 177000 miles

well my truck sounds good when it is at a idle and even if you rev it up, but when you put it in gear and the engine is warm it will drive just fine with a little bit of throttle and when it is to the floor but if i give it half throttle at between 2500 and 4000 RPM's it cuts out and stutters and loses power what could be wrong with it?

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR
The rotary TP sensor is mounted on side of throttle body and connected directly to throttle shaft. The TP sensor senses throttle movement and position, and transmits an electrical signal to ECA. These signals are used to indicate wide open throttle, closed throttle, or normal cruise conditions.
