Heater problem
1998 Ford Ranchero V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

my heater wont work so one of your guys told me to check the heater core hoses to see if they are hot or cold so I checked them after I let the car run for a while my husband said one was cold and the other one was hot. So couldc it be the heater core thats going bad? Hey is there anyway I can send you a money order for a donation sence I dont have acredit or debit card at this time. Ifeel so bad cause you guys have helped me out a lot. And im really thankfull for that.

If one hose is cold, that indicates that antifreeze is not circulating through the core. Recommended repair is to remove hoses from heater core. If it is easier to remove the other end do so. After removing hoses, you need to backflush the core. A garden hose repair end that sticks in the hose and you can connect your garden hose to it should back flush the heater core. When you have good flow through the core, reassemble, top off antifreeze and see if you have heat. Good luck
