1994 Ford Probe Clicking noise after replacing timing belt
Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Ford Probe 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 180000 miles
I have a 1994 Ford Probe SE 2.0. I recently replaced the timing belt, idler pulley, tension pulley and water pump. It now seems to have a clicking noise during a cold start up. As it warms up the clicking noise gets less noticeable. It sounds almost like a lifter but, it just seems ironic that it would make that noise after changing the timing belt when it was not making it before. I checked out the new pulleys and they appear to be good. What could it be?

Have you re checked that the belt tension is correct?
