I own a 1989 ford probe gt turbo.
recently, the right turn signal stopped working. Left works fine. When the left signal is on the component makes a steady: "click, click click" sound.

When I turn on the right turn signal the component
(7 prong ) makes a very "fast clicking sound" but I get no actual turn signal. I pulled the component and am wondering how to confirm it is good.

A new one is over $70 at auto parts.

I did check the bulbs and all are replaced and new and good. I took my multi-meter and tried to measure voltage flow while the turn signal (right) is on but get no power read (positive to ground) at the light source connector.

Q. Then is the turn signal component bad or is there another cause of the problem?

Stumpt in Ohio.

If hazards are not working either, suspect faulty turn signal/ hazard flasher relay, located on interior relay block (behind left kick panel). If hazards DO work but signals do not, suspect faulty multifunction (turn signal) switch.
