1989 Ford Probe Car stalls

1989 Ford Probe 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles
Why would my car stall after a cold start. It will run for a bit, then at a stop light, the tach will die, and give it gas it start dying. Checked the fuel filter and it was fine. Could it be computer or coil?

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Does it only do it when it is cold?

Check engine light comes on when engine dies. Cant check for vacuum as the car will not start now.
