I have a 1997 Grand Marques and when I pull off my car jerks one time before it change the first gear it feels like the shifts are changing.

Hi there,
This is possibly a shift pressure problem, it may be an electrical issue so a scan can help show up any unresolved fault codes, this problem should really be checked first hand by a qualified mechanic.
