1979 Other Ford Models other driver complain of smell

What I have is a ford chasey it is a coachman rv with a 460 engine. I just bought it when my wife was following me she stated that there was strong fumes behind me. I have not been able to smell it inside the truck just on the outside. She also stated that you could see like a glaze out of my exahust pipe. While I was idle at the light.

HI there,

Best to start with a full tune as it may be running over rich, if the exhaust is blowing a bluish smoke this will be oil burning, white coolant, black excess fuel.

Have you checked the air filters too? Maybe that's causing the smell.
