I have an AOD transmission and 302 engine out of a 1985 t-bird I put in a 66 mustang. Cant get tranny lines to come out of fittings going in to case. They leak very bad. I have new fittings with plastic insides but need to know if there is a tool or trick to seperating. Also having bad luck with thermostat housing on manifold. Have tried gaskets 2 times and different silicones with no luck. I must be overlooking something. Can you please help

Yes, I believe there is a special release tool. Local auto parts house might have them. I use general trim adhesive to hold the gasket in place, silicone can cause the gasket to squirt out when tightened
