91 Poor Idle, Shifts hard

I have a 91 lx 2.3. It idles rough, and shifts hard, especially when I start up. After I've driven for a while, it won't shift as hard, but it's still pretty bad. As for the rough idle, the car shakes violently when idling. I've had the coils changed earlier this year, as well as the o2 senor, sparks plugs and wires, and EGR valve. I'm not sure what is causing this. Any thoughts?

Idle first. Change/clean the idle air control valve, it's bolted to the side of the throttle body, trhen check/change the electronic coolant temp sensor(ECT).
Tranny, Check fluid levl and condition, should be red, if it's brownish and smells burnt, change and replace filter!
