I always warm my car up at least 5 to 10 minutes before driving. When decelerating at low speeds (10 to 0 or 5 to 0) a high pitched whine will come from the engine. Pressing on the accelerator will cause the whining to stop. On two occasions, I have not been able to safely press the accelerator, the whine continues, and eventually the engine hesitates and stalls. Today it stalled 5 times.

Our mechanic has changed, the battery, the alternator, the water pump and the engine belt. The squeeking/whining noise continues and now it stalls continiously. Any help would be great in diagnosing the problem.

Check the Idle air control, it's bolted to the side of the throttle body. And. You may have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs!
