I have a 1998 Mustang V-6, auto, fairly loaded, 135,000 miles, the speedometer works fine but the odometer and the tripometer has quit turning. Is this a sensor that can be changed and where it would be located. The car runs fine and is very good transportation. I have done mechanic work for about 40 years but this is the wifes car and dont have time to trouble shoot and spend hours under the car.

thanks

Unless I am way off on this there should be one Variable Speed Sensor (VSS) on the car. That sensor feeds odometer, speedometer and tachometer. Therefore, you are looking at a guage replacement.
