I have a 1998 ford mustang with a 3.8 v6 automatic with overdrive. It is not wanting to drive. The engine is running fine, and it will go in reverse, but in drive I have to put the pedal to the floor and it does not start moving until the rpm go high. What would be causing this?

I would check the fluid level first to make sure it's on the mark, other than that, the best thing to do is take it to a transmisson specialists, auto trannys are complicated and if you tear into them without knowledge of them, it can be a nightmare.
