I have a 1998 Ford Mustang with 12000 miles on it. I can not keep the engine running without keeping the RPMs over 3k and that takes great effort. I have replaced the plugs and used a Autoxray Code Scout 2500 on it. The scan comes back no codes found check engine light off and then list the following: Missfire (checked), Fuel System (checked), Comp. Components (checked) then the following do not have the check marks: catalyst, o2 Sensor, o2 sensor heater, EGR. When the egine dose run it is very rough, and you can smell gas and there is black smoke (particles) coming out the exhaust. Plugs were also black when changed. This problem happened all at once.
