I have a 98 Svt Cobra.I blew my clutch on the freeway cause I pushed the car a little to hard. I dropped my clutch from 5th to 3 gear doing 85 to 95 mph. It shifted in gear smoothly but a minute or two later my clutch started smoking and was driving low speed with high RPMs. I drove it a few blocks and parked it.I tried starting it later and it wouldnt start. I hear something spinning when I put the clutch down and turn the key. But the engine wont start. The car seems to be stuck in neutral. Is this a transmittion problem? Or a simple blown starter? or safety clutch switch gone bad.I dont no much about transmittions or clutches. I would just like to know what to expect before I bring my car to the shop. This is my first manual transmittion and I never blown a clutch before. I would apreciate it if someone would enlighten me on this matter. Thank you[img:09069335c4]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/400301_Marshall_1.gif[/img:09069335c4]

You probably blew the clutch but as for it not starting-the engine will start without a transmission

If you're trying to put it into gear while engine is running and unable to-the clutch is gone
