1997 Ford Mustang speedometer

My speed meter stop working I replace the sensor and drive gear my speed meter works now but when I drive the speed limit will be 45mph but my meter will be 80mph. How could I fix this?

If speedometer is not calibrated then it will need replaced as there is no calibration adjustment. If you replaced the drive gear on the vehicle speed sensor, ensure it was the correct gear or this will throw off the speedometer.

I order the gear from a ford dealer ship unless they order me the wrong one
