Electrical problem
1996 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

son's car blew lower radiater hose. temp gauge went little over half way. car died and would not start.towed him home. replaced hose(radiater still had a little water in it) battery went dead so charged it.when hooked battery cables up all lights come on headlights etc and wont turn off without unhooking battery and car still wont start.any ideas?

check the ignition switch is working correctly ? IGNITION SWITCH Check for continuity between specified terminals with the switch in each position. Refer to the IGNITION SWITCH CONTINUITY table. See Fig. 2 . If continuity is not as specified, replace ignition switch.
