I own a 1995 Ford Mustang GT with a 5.0 liter engine with 131000.oo miles. I have a leak under the engine. The mechanic said it was the intake. He said it may only be a gasket (or seal) but it could be the intake itself. My question is....What and where is the intake, and knowing you can't quote pricing, what ballpark of cost am I looking at for either job? Thanks

The intake is the top middle part of the engine that stretches accross from one head to the other, the throttle body is bolted to it, If it's not been done it will go about 5-6 hous of labor plus the manifold, once it's off it's checked for straightness and for any dissoving at the corners. Common probem!
